Hanoi renovates and upgrades more than 5km of drainage canal in Thach That district

The irrigation canal system contributes significantly to flood prevention and control in the suburban areas of Hanoi .

The Tay Ninh - Ngoi Nuc Canal Improvement and Upgrade Project has a total length of over 5,341m. The main component is to solidify the right bank of the canal combined with building rural roads, with a length of over 4,078m.

In addition, the project will also renovate and upgrade works on the canal. The land use area of ​​the project is about 13.9 hectares, of which the existing construction land area is about 11.36 hectares.

The implementation period of the above project lasts from now until 2027. After completion, the canal system will ensure drainage for 650 hectares of agricultural , non-agricultural and residential land of the communes: Canh Nau, Di Nau, Huong Ngai (Thach That district).

The project is also expected to contribute to improving synchronous irrigation infrastructure serving agricultural production, creating conditions for local socio-economic development, improving the environmental landscape of the project area...

The City People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Technical Infrastructure and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board to be the investor, taking full responsibility before the law for the accuracy and legality of the information and data shown in the project dossier submitted for appraisal and approval.

The investor must also organize, manage and implement the project in accordance with the provisions of law and Hanoi City on management of construction investment projects, implement bidding packages to ensure quality, technique, aesthetics, and completion on schedule; use state budget investment capital thoroughly and economically, and avoid loss or waste of investment capital...
