Hanoi's 2025 budget revenue sets new record

In the context of many fluctuations in the world and domestic economy, the state budget revenue in Hanoi in 2025 has recorded impressive results. It is estimated that in the whole year of 2025, the total state budget revenue will reach 641.7 trillion VND, far exceeding the estimate and setting the highest level ever.

According to the Report of the Hanoi People's Committee on the implementation of the 2025 Socio -Economic Development Plan, the total State budget revenue in the area is estimated to reach 641.7 trillion VND for the whole year, reaching 124.9% of the adjusted estimate and increasing by 24.9% compared to 2024. This result makes an important contribution to ensuring the major balances of the capital's economy, creating a solid resource for development investment expenditure and ensuring social security.

Statistics show that in the first 11 months of 2025 alone, the total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 625.2 trillion VND, exceeding the year-end estimate by 21.6% and increasing by 39.6% over the same period in 2024. Of which, domestic revenue is 587.7 trillion VND, exceeding the estimate by 21.8% and increasing by 40.8%; revenue from crude oil is 2.5 trillion VND, reaching 59.1% and equal to 65.4%; revenue from import-export activities is 34.7 trillion VND, exceeding 26.9% and increasing by 31.1% over the same period in 2024.

It is known that this positive budget revenue result comes from the strong economic recovery of the Capital in 2025 with a high GRDP growth rate. At the same time, this is also the result of drastic direction and management in revenue management, preventing revenue loss, especially promoting digital transformation in tax management, e-commerce and retail services....

Regarding budget expenditure, Hanoi continues to thoroughly implement the principle of proactive, flexible but strict and economical budget expenditure. It is estimated that for the whole year of 2025, the total local budget expenditure will be 166.2 trillion VND. The city prioritizes focusing resources on development investment expenditure (estimated at 89.2 trillion VND, an increase of 46.8% compared to 2024), especially allocating capital for key national and city projects such as Ring Road 4 - Capital Region, transport infrastructure projects, health, education ...

Entering 2026, the forecast that the world and domestic situation will continue to have intertwined opportunities and challenges, Hanoi sets a target of collecting about 546.93 trillion VND in state budget revenue.
