HABECO DONATES 1.35 BILLION VND TO PEOPLE IN THE NORTHERN REGION TO OVERCOME DAMAGE CAUSED BY STORM NO. 3

Responding to the call of General Secretary and President To Lam; of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade in Official Dispatch No. 264/CĐCT-CSPL dated September 12, 2024 to mobilize support for people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3; Hanoi Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation ( HABECO ) has deployed a call for all staff and workers in the entire system to support 1 day's salary with a total amount of more than 1.35 billion VND.

With the spirit of mutual love, with the tradition of “The whole leaves cover the torn leaves; the less torn leaves cover the more torn leaves”. With the consensus of the Board of Directors, HABECO mobilized all officers, employees, and workers in the Corporation and member companies to support compatriots who suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods with the mobilization level of 01 day's salary.

The amount of donations and support from the officers, employees, workers of the Corporation and some units was transferred to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front with a total amount of more than 759 million VND; the remaining units supported local organizations of the same level. The total value of the support amount reached more than 1.35 billion VND.

With the donations of staff and employees across the system, HABECO hopes to provide more resources to the political system and localities to support people in storm and flood areas to quickly overcome damage and stabilize their lives.

Although member units in the HABECO system, especially those in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, were also affected and suffered damage to their facilities due to storms, floods and heavy rains, promoting the role of corporate responsibility towards the community, HABECO has promptly implemented many meaningful activities, accompanying localities and people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

In addition to social security work, the Corporation and its member units in affected areas also urgently worked with the authorities and people to overcome damage, proactively visited and ensured smooth production and business activities to soon overcome difficulties with the locality, restore and develop production and business.
