On the morning of April 19th, in Nhan Quyen commune (Binh Giang district), the People's Committee of Hai Duong province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build provincial road 394B (the section connecting provincial road 395 to the North-South axis in Thanh Mien district) and a technical opening ceremony for the investment project to build the East-West axis road of the province.
Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, and leaders of several departments, agencies, and localities attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
The Hai Duong Provincial Road 394B construction project (the section connecting Provincial Road 395 to the North-South axis in Thanh Mien district) is being implemented by the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board in Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts. The total length of the route is over 6.7 km, with a road classification of level II in flat terrain, including intersections and access roads. The total investment is over 1,200 billion VND.
The project to invest in and construct the East-West arterial road of the province is being implemented in the districts of Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, and Thanh Ha.
The total length of the route is nearly 36.5 km, with a road classification of level III in flat terrain. The total investment for the project is nearly 1,800 billion VND, with the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board as the investor.
This is the first Group A transportation project in Hai Duong province; it has the longest route and significantly impacts many households. It is also a vital artery connecting the center of the province's specialized economic zone.
The investment projects to build Provincial Road 394B and the East-West arterial road of the province, along with the North-South arterial road project in Thanh Mien district, will create a vital transportation system in the southern part of Hai Duong province, forming a regional transportation axis connecting National Highway 5 with the Hanoi -Hai Phong Expressway, National Highway 38B, and National Highway 10.
The routes will also connect the districts of Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, and Thanh Ha, contributing to the completion of the regional transportation infrastructure plan; creating favorable conditions to attract investors to the dynamic industrial zone of Hai Duong province and creating a breakthrough in the socio-economic development of the province.
Earlier that day, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the AEON Hai Duong Shopping Center project.
The project covers an area of 3.5 hectares in Lien Hong commune and Thach Khoi ward (Hai Duong city). The project has a total investment of 1,170 billion VND and an operating period of 50 years. Aeon Vietnam Co., Ltd. is the project investor.
The organization of the groundbreaking and technical opening ceremonies for the projects on April 19th is in accordance with the Prime Minister's directive on organizing groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The groundbreaking and opening ceremony in Hai Duong took place simultaneously with the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of 80 key projects nationwide this morning, connected online with the main venue at Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City).
