Thousands of young men leave for military service

On February 25, 18/18 districts, towns and cities in Quang Nam province held the 2024 military enlistment ceremony.

Major General Hua Van Tuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of Military Region 5, Quang Nam province, and leaders of the Quang Nam Provincial Military Command attended the ceremony.

This year, the entire Quang Nam province will hand over 2,554 young people, including 2,550 male citizens and 4 female citizens to military units including: General Staff, Army Corps 3; Air Defense - Air Force; Navy; Coast Guard Region 2; General Department of Logistics,...

This time, there were 271 young people with university, college and intermediate degrees; there were 237 volunteer applications from young people asking to volunteer to join the army.

Meanwhile, in Da Nang city, according to the City Military Command, this year Da Nang city took 1,356 new recruits. Among them are 2 party members, 11 cadres, workers and 12 citizens who volunteered to join the army. In particular, there are 8 female recruits participating in serving the Fatherland.

Of which, Thanh Khe district has 226 young men, Son Tra district has 190 young men, Lien Chieu district has 189 young men, Hai Chau district has 172 young men, Ngu Hanh Son district has 119 young men, Cam Le district has 176 young men and Hoa Vang district has 231 young men joining the army.
