Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company Limited announces the launch of a new prize structure and participation method for its instant scratch-off lottery, featuring two familiar games: "Mystery Number" and "Magic Number".

According to information from the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company, the revenue from scratch-off lottery products in the first nine months of 2025 was 778 billion VND, reaching 119% compared to the same period last year and 108% compared to the plan.

According to the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company, revenue from this new product has reached and exceeded targets three months ahead of schedule. Previously, the company launched the instant scratch-off lottery type at the beginning of 2019.

"To date, both games have been comprehensively researched and upgraded by the company in terms of prize structure and participation methods, especially the special prize which has increased from 300 million VND to 1 billion VND," said a leader of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company.

Accordingly, from October 25th, coinciding with the 47th anniversary of its founding, the two games "Mystery Number" and "Magical Number" will launch new versions, with the grand prize increased from 300 million VND to 1 billion VND.

Regarding overall business performance, the 2025 semi-annual financial report shows that Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company Limited continues to lead the region with revenue in the first half of the year reaching VND 7,027 billion, an increase of nearly 11% compared to the same period in 2024.

Conversely, total business expenses and cost of goods sold reached VND 5,045 billion, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year, causing pre-tax profit of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery to decrease slightly by more than 1%, to VND 970 billion.

Record lottery ticket sales revenue

The Southern region comprises 21 lottery companies. Their total half-year revenue for 2025 reached a record high of VND 75,877 billion, a 9.09% increase compared to the same period in 2024; while pre-tax profit reached VND 9,926 billion, a 9.14% increase. With the booming revenue, prize payout expenses also increased to over VND 37,100 billion.
