Revealing the reason why Modern Warfare III has such a huge capacity

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên05/11/2023

According to VGC , Activision has made a statement about the size of this year's Call of Duty game. Accordingly, depending on the number of game packages that players install, the size of Modern Warfare III can exceed 200GB.

According to the publisher, the game's increased size compared to 2022's Modern Warfare II is due to the game's increased content on the first day of release. Therefore, the download file will include all the new content of Modern Warfare III.

Modern Warfare III is a massive 200GB+

Specifically, the company said: "MW3 is coming to fans. In preparation, we wanted to announce that the new game size will be larger than last year. This is due to the increased amount of content available on day one, which includes open -world Zombies, support for carrying over items from MW2, as well as map files for the current Call of Duty: Warzone ."

The publisher also notes that players can manage their Call of Duty storage in the 'manage files' section of the COD HQ launcher menu, allowing them to uninstall specific content they don't need to experience.

Modern Warfare III is a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II . Development of the game is being led by Sledgehammer, in conjunction with studio Infinity Ward, while Treyarch is in charge of the Zombies mode. Activision also recently announced plans to bring back a number of multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare III to this year's game.

Modern Warfare III 's campaign mode is now available to play through early access, with the full game set to officially release on November 10.
