NDO - On the morning of November 22, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with young scientists who received the Khue Van Cac Award in 2024. This is also the first time the Award has been organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , with the subjects being young scientists in the field of social sciences and humanities.

Speaking at the meeting after listening to the thoughts and aspirations of outstanding young scientists, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan affirmed: inheriting the nation's precious tradition of studiousness and promoting President Ho Chi Minh's ideology of valuing talents, our Party and State always focus on issuing policies and guidelines, paying special attention, considering the development of science and technology associated witheducation and training as the top national policy.

Noting the advantages and difficulties intertwined in the current world and regional context, comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized the efforts of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people, especially the responsibility of the youth in the era of national development. Young scientists who won the Award shared their thoughts and aspirations at the meeting.

Emphasizing the important role of the social sciences and humanities, the Vice President acknowledged and highly appreciated the highly applicable researches, contributing to improving the quality of life of young scientists who won the first Khue Van Cac Award. From there, the Vice President suggested that the Central Youth Union continue to coordinate with ministries, departments and branches to research and propose to the Party and State solutions to perfect the policy system to discover, attract and promote talents.

Along with that, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that the young scientists who won the Award will continue to "think big" to have more valuable scientific works and products, closely following the life not only of our country, but also expanding to the regional and world levels.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented gifts to 9 outstanding young scientists who won the Award.

According to reports from the Central Youth Union, after nearly 2 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the Award received 55 nominations from 31 agencies, units, universities, academies, research institutes nationwide and the Youth Union Executive Committee abroad. After many rounds of selection, the Central Youth Union found 9 outstanding faces to present the Award. Each individual received the "Creative Youth" Badge from the Central Youth Union and 15 million VND.

It is known that the first Khue Van Cac Award Ceremony took place the same evening in Hanoi.
