On the afternoon of August 30th, speaking with VietNamNet, Mr. Hoang Van Viet, Principal of Quang Vinh Primary School in Trung Khanh district, said that he had just received 1.8 tons of rice for the school's lunch program from two benefactors.

"I'm so happy, the students finally have rice to eat! On behalf of the school, I would like to thank everyone for their help and encouragement over the past few days," Mr. Viet said emotionally.

According to Mr. Viet, the floodwaters have now receded from the school, and the local authorities and the school are cleaning up and preparing for the start of the new school year.

Regarding the recent flood, Mr. Viet said that the school has compiled statistics and reported to the district People's Committee, estimating the damage at about 400 million VND.
