In this match, U22 Vietnam opened the score in the 29th minute thanks to Dinh Bac but was equalized 4 minutes later. In the second half, Dinh Bac continued to shine with a goal in the 60th minute, thereby setting the score at 2-1.

According to coach Kim Sang-sik, the most important thing is that U22 Vietnam won 3 points.

In the post-match press conference, coach Kim Sang-sik gave special praise to striker Nguyen Dinh Bac - the player who scored twice to bring victory to U22 Vietnam and was chosen as the best player of the match.

“I would like to congratulate Dinh Bac. He played very well and scored two important goals. However, our attack still has some areas to improve. We will continue to make adjustments to best prepare for the match against Malaysia,” said coach Kim Sang-sik.

Coach Kim Sang-sik said he was satisfied with his players' fighting spirit, especially the way they overcame difficulties after conceding a goal at the end of the first half.

“After the first half, I saw the loss of concentration due to the goal, so I reminded the whole team to focus again. In the second half, the players played according to plan. However, today we were not lucky in finishing and unfortunately only scored 2 goals,” said coach Kim Sang-sik.

Dinh Bac scored twice to help his team win the match.

The Korean coach said the loss came from a moment of lack of concentration, and assessed the victory as a worthy reward for the team's efforts.

“Today’s result is the result of the players’ efforts. I’m sorry about the goal we conceded in the first half, but the important thing is that we won. The whole team will quickly recover and prepare well for the match against Malaysia,” coach Kim Sang-sik emphasized.

The 2-1 victory over U22 Laos helped U22 Vietnam have a favorable start at SEA Games 33.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will enter the second match against U22 Malaysia on December 11 with the goal of winning all 3 points to compete for a ticket to the semi-finals.
