Support nutrition and clean water for pregnant women and children in difficult areas

DNO - The Danang City Charity and Children's Rights Protection Association has recently coordinated with Sarangbat Organization (Korea) to carry out many activities to support nutrition and provide clean water for pregnant women and children in disadvantaged areas of the city.

In the communes of Thanh My, Ben Giang, Nam Giang, Dac Pring, La Dee, La Ee, the two units coordinated to organize exchange programs, sharing knowledge on improving nutrition for pregnant women and malnourished children; propagating on preventing early marriage and incestuous marriage for students of Thanh My Secondary School and 100 village health workers . In the localities, the two units gave many portions of milk to pregnant women and children.

Along with that, the City Charity and Children's Rights Protection Association and Sarangbat Organization presented two water filtration systems to Que Thuan Primary School (Que Son Trung Commune) and Dong Phu Primary School (Que Son Commune).

At the same time, instructions on clean water use were provided to teachers and students of the following schools: Que Long Kindergarten, Que An Primary School, Que Thuan Primary School, Dong Phu Primary School and Dong Phu Secondary School. The total value of the program was 130 million VND.

The above programs are within the framework of the project "Supporting education, social protection, medical examination and treatment, cultural exchange and donating water purifiers to schools" approved by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province (old) in Decision No. 3270/QD-UBND dated December 1, 2022, contributing to improving learning and living conditions for students in mountainous areas.
