According to the report at the conference, under the drastic direction and management of the Government and the Prime Minister , and the close coordination of localities, the whole country has basically completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching the finish line 5 years and 4 months ahead of the target set in Resolution No. 42 of the 13th Party Central Committee and reaching the finish line 4 months ahead of the target set when launching the emulation movement.
As of August 20, 2025, all localities have started and completed 100% of the houses in need of support, with a total of 334,234 newly built and repaired houses (of which 255,310 were newly built and 78,924 were repaired).
Specifically, housing support for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives is 39,981 units; housing from two national target programs is 62,230 units; housing for poor and near-poor households from the Program to launch and support other disadvantaged groups is 232,023 units.

The total mobilized funding to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is over 24,761 billion VND, including: Central budget over 4,809 billion VND; local budget over 1,314 billion VND; funding from 5% of regular expenditure savings allocated by the state budget is 4,424 billion VND; localities mobilized over 4,000 billion VND from socialization; contributions from households are nearly 5,810 billion VND... In addition, the Program also mobilized 2,738,754 working days, with 454,318 people supporting the construction and repair of houses nationwide.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task and demonstrates the profound humanistic value and special concern of the Party and State for the people, especially housing for people with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives, poor and near-poor households.
Successful implementation of the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide will create motivation, inspiration and a vibrant competitive atmosphere among all levels, sectors, localities, business communities and people.
Each roof is “a gift”, “a warm home”, “a love” expressing national love and compatriotism; realizing the Party’s policies and guidelines; demonstrating the goals, good and superior nature of our regime; affirming the humanistic values and fine moral traditions of our nation; arousing and strengthening the people’s trust in the Party’s leadership; promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the synchronous, drastic, effective and united participation of the entire political system, business community and people in implementing the program and emulation movement.

In the coming time, ministries, departments, branches and localities need to do well a number of contents: Identifying the care and support of housing for people with revolutionary contributions, poor households, near-poor households, and people living in areas frequently affected by natural disasters and climate change is a regular and long-term task of the entire political system and society. For households that have received housing support from that program, it is only a matter of settling down, so it is necessary to create jobs and livelihoods for people so that they can truly "settle down and have a career".
In addition, summarize and disseminate good models and good practices to replicate nationwide; promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in social security work. On this occasion, the President awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to 19 groups and the Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 groups with outstanding achievements in the program and movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
