The United States expands disability support programs in Bac Lieu province

The U.S. Mission to Vietnam, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in coordination with the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, organized a launching ceremony for a USAID-funded disability support project being implemented in the province.

Through the Leahy War Victims Fund, USAID has been working to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities in Vietnam since 1991.

US assistance has helped meet medical and social needs, improve disability policies, and reduce physical and social barriers.

To date, the U.S. Government , through USAID, has contributed more than $155 million to programs supporting persons with disabilities in Vietnam.
