Conference on connecting and promoting investment in Ninh Thuan province in Binh Duong

On December 14th, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province organized an investment promotion and networking conference in Binh Duong province. The conference was chaired by Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Minh Luc, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Phan Tan Canh, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee. Also in attendance were leaders from various departments and agencies, and nearly 200 businesses and investors from both Ninh Thuan and Binh Duong provinces.

At the conference, Ninh Thuan provincial leaders provided an overview of the province's economic , social, and environmental situation, investment opportunities, and introduced its potential and strengths. Accordingly, Ninh Thuan, a coastal province in the South Central region, has a strategically important location, favorable for regional development. Ninh Thuan boasts the Ca Na deep-water seaport (Thuan Nam district), capable of receiving ships up to 300,000 DWT, situated at the intersection of three strategic transportation axes: National Highway 1A, the Eastern North-South Expressway; the North-South railway; and National Highway 27 leading to the Southern Central Highlands.

Comrades Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, exchanged views with businesses at the conference.

With a 105km long coastline and numerous outstanding advantages, including being Vietnam's only upwelling zone, its topography is surrounded by mountain ranges extending close to the sea, creating many beautiful bays and beaches. Among these, Vinh Hy Bay is ranked as a National Scenic Landscape; Nui Chua National Park is recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve; the Binh Son - Ninh Chu tourist area is planned to be included as a key national tourist area; and the unique Cham culture, with its pottery and brocade weaving villages, is one of the oldest in Southeast Asia, with Cham pottery art being recognized by UNESCO as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage… All of this contributes to promoting the development of the marine economy, tourism, urban areas, industry, energy, and logistics.

The leaders of Ninh Thuan and Binh Duong provinces chaired the conference.

Furthermore, in the current context, Ninh Thuan is facing new development opportunities. The Government has adopted a policy to invest in several key national projects, promoting increased connectivity between Ninh Thuan and the provinces in the Central Coast region and the Southern key economic zone, such as: adding Thanh Son Airport, a 4C-class airport with a capacity of 1.5 million passengers per year by 2030, to the National Airport and Airfield Development Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; the North-South high-speed railway and the North-South East Expressway (Cam Lam-Vinh Hao section), expected to be completed in early Q2/2024; and the Ca Na integrated seaport, which has put its 50,000 DWT berth into operation..., contributing to strongly unleashing Ninh Thuan's potential advantages and attracting investment. In addition, the province already has 3 industrial parks (IPs): Thanh Hai, Du Long, and Phuoc Nam, with a total area of 855 hectares, and the Ca Na Industrial Park with a scale of 827 hectares, which is currently awaiting approval from the Prime Minister. Currently, the occupancy rate of these new industrial parks is 21%, and there are 6 industrial clusters with a relatively large land reserve. The rental prices are significantly lower than those in other provinces in the region (approximately 20-30%), creating favorable conditions for investors to access land and infrastructure in industrial parks and clusters.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, held discussions with businesses on the sidelines of the conference.

In particular, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1319/QD-TTg dated November 10, 2023, with a strategic vision of "Ninh Thuan - A land converging with unique values," creating unique values to enhance the competitiveness of the economy, exploiting potential and strengths to create room for growth.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his sincere gratitude for the attention and cooperation of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the leaders of other provinces and cities, distinguished guests, and businesses and investors who attended the conference. He emphasized that this conference was one of the province's important investment promotion activities. The conference received valuable feedback and sharing from investors and businesses to find solutions and create a favorable investment and startup environment for the province.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the Ninh Thuan Investment Promotion and Connection Conference held in Binh Duong.

Through this event, businesses and investors gained an overview of Ninh Thuan to select suitable investment areas. The comrade hoped that this event would help organizations, businesses, and investors from both provinces explore opportunities for cooperation in infrastructure investment and production and business in industrial parks and clusters, creating a breakthrough for the province's industrial sector; and at the same time, expand and strengthen cooperation in investment promotion, connecting the Binh Duong Investment Promotion Center, the Management Board of Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones of Binh Duong with the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Ninh Thuan province, connecting investors of industrial parks and clusters, businesses and investors in Ninh Thuan with potential partners in Binh Duong. This would effectively exploit the potential and advantages of both sides, promoting sustainable development of production and business activities. The comrade affirmed that Ninh Thuan province is committed to creating all favorable conditions for businesses and investors during the process of research, surveying, information gathering, and investment registration procedures, ensuring the best interests and exploiting the province's development potential in the future.
