Conference on connecting and promoting investment in Ninh Thuan province in Binh Duong

On December 14, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province organized a conference to connect and promote investment in Binh Duong province. Comrades: Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Also attending were leaders of departments, branches and nearly 200 enterprises and investors from Ninh Thuan and Binh Duong provinces.

At the conference, the leaders of Ninh Thuan province provided general information on the economic , social, environmental and investment opportunities, and introduced the areas with great potential and strengths of the province. Accordingly, Ninh Thuan is a coastal province in the South Central Coast, with an important strategic position, favorable for regional development linkage. Ninh Thuan has Ca Na deep-water seaport (Thuan Nam) that receives ships with a capacity of up to 300,000 DWT, located at the intersection of 3 strategic traffic axes: National Highway 1A, the North-South Expressway in the East; the North-South railway and National Highway 27 to the Southern Central Highlands.

With a 105km long coastline, many outstanding advantages, being the only upwelling area in Vietnam, the terrain is surrounded by mountain ranges stretching out to the sea, forming many beautiful bays and beaches, of which Vinh Hy Bay is ranked as a national scenic spot, Nui Chua National Park is recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve; Binh Son - Ninh Chu tourist area is planned to be included in the national key tourist area; unique Cham culture with the oldest pottery and brocade weaving villages in Southeast Asia, in which the Cham pottery art is included in the World's intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO... Thereby contributing to promoting the development of the marine economy, tourism, urban areas, industry, energy, logistics...

In addition, in the current context, Ninh Thuan is facing new development opportunities. The Government has a policy to invest in a number of key national projects, promoting the increase of connectivity in the development of Ninh Thuan with the provinces in the Central coastal region and the Southern key economic region such as: Adding Thanh Son airport with a scale of level 4C, capacity of 1.5 million passengers/year by 2030 to the Master Plan for the development of the national airport and seaport system in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; the North-South high-speed railway, the North-South expressway in the East (Cam Lam-Vinh Hao section) is expected to be completed in the early second quarter of 2024; Ca Na general seaport has put a 50,000 DWT port into operation..., contributing to strongly promoting potential advantages and attracting investment in Ninh Thuan. In addition, the province has 3 industrial parks (IPs): Thanh Hai, Du Long, Phuoc Nam, with a total area of 855ha and Ca Na IP with a scale of 827ha, which is being submitted to the Prime Minister for approval of investment policy. Currently, the newly filled IPs reach 21% and 6 industrial clusters, with a large land fund in the IPs and clusters, with rental prices much lower than those of other provinces in the region (about 20-30%), are favorable conditions for investors to access land and infrastructure of IPs and industrial clusters.

In particular, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, has been approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1319/QD-TTg dated November 10, 2023, with a strategic vision of "Ninh Thuan - Land of convergence of different values", creating different values to create economic competitiveness, exploiting potentials and strengths to create room for growth.

He emphasized that this Conference is one of the important investment promotion activities of the province.
