More than 700 students who are children of rubber industry workers receive scholarships

Vietnam Rubber Group - October 28th Education Promotion Association has just awarded scholarships to 733 children of workers, civil servants and laborers in the group who are in difficult circumstances but have strong determination to excel in their studies.

The ceremony is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Rubber Industry's Traditional Day (October 28, 1929 - October 28, 2025). Within the framework of the ceremony, 195 excellent students were directly awarded scholarships, recognizing their academic efforts and spirit of overcoming difficulties.

The October 28th Learning Promotion Association, established in 2012, aims to support and empower children of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the corporation who are in difficult circumstances but have strong will to excel in their studies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Kim Nhut - Chairman of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union - emphasized that sustainable development must first start with education and knowledge. Awarding scholarships is not only a recognition of academic achievements but also a belief, a fuel to help students confidently go to school, nurturing their dreams and ambitions.

The children awarded on this occasion are children of officials, civil servants, employees and workers across the group, studying at many universities, colleges and vocational schools at home and abroad.

Among them, there are many students who are in difficult circumstances or ethnic minorities, but thanks to their constant efforts, their academic performance has been improving. Many students pass university entrance exams with high scores, the number of excellent students has been increasing continuously over the years, clearly demonstrating the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the will to rise up.

He hopes that students continue to maintain their spirit of learning, constantly try and strive to achieve greater success in the future.

From 2012 to 2024, the October 28 Scholarship Fund spent a total of VND22,563 billion on commendation and scholarship awards, demonstrating the group's long-term commitment to education and the younger generation.

At the 2025 award ceremony, the Association for Promotion of Education honored 733 excellent students. Of these, 163 were admitted to university with scores of 26 or higher; 500 full-time university students achieved excellent grades or higher; 3 students won third prizes or medals in national and international Olympic and excellent student competitions; 67 students overcame difficulties to study well, being shining examples of determination and will to excel in their studies.

On this occasion, the October 28th Education Promotion Association continues to call on units and philanthropists to devote their enthusiasm, affection, and funds, depending on the financial situation of the unit, to support the October 28th Education Promotion Fund to provide good support for students who are children of officials, workers, and civil servants in the entire industry.
