Hong Linh Ha Tinh dramatic comeback to draw with The Cong-Viettel

On the evening of April 11, the opening match for round 18 of V.League 2024-2025 took place between Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club and The Cong-Viettel.

Although they had to play away at Ha Tinh, The Cong - Viettel players did not seem too inferior when they quickly deployed an attacking style of play, creating pressure right from the first minutes of the match.

The away team quickly scored the opening goal in the 11th minute after Huu Thang jumped high to accurately head the ball from Khuat Van Khang's pass to defeat goalkeeper Thanh Tung, putting The Cong-Viettel up 1-0.

Conceding a goal, Hong Linh Ha Tinh was forced to attack to find an equalizer. However, in the remaining minutes, the home team could not score an equalizer and had to accept the end of the first half with a loss.

After the break, Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong asked his players to push up their formation to put pressure in search of an equalizer. In the 56th minute, from the left wing, midfielder Viktor Le crossed the ball into the penalty area for Mbo to head the ball in a difficult way that goalkeeper Van Phong could not block, tying the score 1-1 for Hong Linh Ha Tinh.

In the following minutes, the two teams were playing a tug of war, not creating many opportunities towards each other's goal. In the 71st minute, from Pedro's pass, midfielder Khuat Van Khang rushed up the left wing and fired a powerful shot, defeating goalkeeper Thanh Tung, re-establishing the lead for The Cong-Viettel.

In the 80th minute, Viktor Le assisted Huynh Tien Dat to make a curling shot from outside the penalty area, the ball hit the bottom of the crossbar and flew into the net of The Cong-Viettel, tying the score at 2-2, bringing the match back to the starting line.
