Reporting on the activities of the Dong Nai Tourism Association in the past period, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Chairman of the former Dong Nai Tourism Association, said that the former Dong Nai Tourism Association was established in 2007. To date, the Association has 250 members, including 50 organizational members and 200 individual members who are members of local branches, tour guide branches, chef associations, and members of member clubs. The former Binh Phuoc Province Tourism Association has 69 members divided into many fields of activity: travel and tourism, passenger transport, accommodation establishments, guesthouses, hotels, restaurants, entertainment areas, production and business of agricultural products, etc.

According to the proposed plan, the new Tourism Association will be named the Dong Nai Provincial Tourism Association, a voluntary professional social organization of organizations, businesses from various economic sectors, and individuals legally operating in the field of tourism and tourism services. The Association aims to unite and connect its members to cooperate, support, and assist each other in contributing to the development of the tourism industry in Dong Nai province, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of its members and customers.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, Vu Xuan Truong, expressed his hope that businesses and new members of the Dong Nai Provincial Tourism Association would continue to strive and work together with the Association, attracting more members to participate and contribute to the common cause of the tourism industry. Although the Tourism Association is a professional social organization operating on a voluntary basis, it still needs an operational structure to ensure unity. Each member of the Tourism Association, according to their own conditions and abilities, contributes to the Association's overall activities.

After finalizing the personnel and operational plans, the Dong Nai Tourism Association (HHDL) will compile a report for the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and prepare for the organization of the congress. In addition, based on the suggestions of HHDL members, the relevant departments of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will compile a report and advise the department's leadership on how to handle and support the HHDL, in the spirit of avoiding bureaucratization of its activities. The government will play a supportive role, creating the best conditions for the HHDL to operate effectively, attract more members, and elevate Dong Nai province's tourism to a new level.

The former Dong Nai province, as early as 2021, had a resolution on developing tourism into a key economic sector, even at a time when the tourism industry was facing many difficulties. This demonstrates the province's grand vision for tourism development. Binh Phuoc province also aims to make tourism a breakthrough program for the province. This shows the unity between the leaders of the two provinces, both sharing a common direction for tourism development, linked to green tourism products. In particular, Dong Nai aims for double-digit growth by 2025. To achieve this goal, tourism businesses need to make efforts, cooperate, unite, and carry out many activities in the tourism sector, shaping a unique identity and building a Dong Nai tourism brand based on combining the potential and strengths of Dong Nai after the merger.
