According to the announcement of the Management Board of the World Heritage Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu, units, businesses, organizations and individuals when buying tickets to visit Ha Long Bay need to provide full tourist information from December 10.
This is to help improve the efficiency and quality of tourism activities, and support the identification and verification of information.
Specifically:
- Vietnamese visitors need to provide citizen identification or personal identification code for citizens under the age of ID issuance.
- International visitors provide passport and nationality.
- Children or people who are not eligible for documents must provide information of the guardian or sponsor, including full name, ID/passport number and contact phone number for verification.
The Management Board said that all collected information will only be used for the purpose of managing tourism activities on the bay according to regulations, ensuring data security and privacy of tourists.
This move aims to improve the effectiveness of state management in Ha Long Bay tourism activities. At the same time, the management agency will gradually build a synchronous database to serve the comprehensive digital transformation roadmap.
