Opening of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, term 2024-2029

On the afternoon of August 15th, the first session of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Vinh Phuc province, for the term 2024-2029, took place at the Vinh Phuc Provincial Conference Center.

The 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province was held with the theme: "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development".

Attending the Congress were Mr. Bui Huy Vinh - Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Vinh Phuc Province; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc Province; representatives of the Party building departments, the Provincial Party Committee Office, political and social organizations, and 257 official delegates representing all strata of the people of Vinh Phuc Province.

The 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, for the term 2024-2029, is taking place at a time when the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Vinh Phuc province are striving to successfully implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels in Vinh Phuc province and the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party. The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 158/QD-TTg on February 6, 2024, approving the Vinh Phuc Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, approved the personnel plan and the consultation process for electing the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 15th term.

In light of the immense demands of building and developing Vinh Phuc province in the new period, the Congress has the task of comprehensively assessing the situation and results of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, term 2019-2024, and setting forth directions, objectives, and action programs for the term 2024-2029.

With the theme "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development," the Congress unanimously resolved to enhance the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promote the tradition and strength of national unity, and contribute to building a prosperous and happy Vinh Phuc.

Mr. Vu Van Bang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, presented the review report of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Vinh Phuc province has always closely followed the comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, and coordinated increasingly closely and effectively with authorities at all levels and member organizations. The content and methods of operation have been innovated, "focusing on the grassroots, taking residential areas as the place to deploy activities".

Delegates visited booths displaying specialties from various localities in Vinh Phuc province.

The forms of mobilizing the national unity bloc have been diversified, focusing on promoting advisory councils, advisory boards, core personnel, influential individuals, and exemplary figures.

The campaigns and emulation movements were implemented with a focus on key areas, arousing the spirit of competition, creative labor, and the collective efforts of the entire community, bringing practical results.

Delegates representing ethnic minorities attended the Congress.

Efforts to improve the lives of the poor and disadvantaged continue to receive attention and have achieved many important results, contributing to ensuring social security and sustainable poverty reduction.

Social monitoring and criticism, and participation in building the Party and government, have continued to be strengthened and achieved many results, more clearly demonstrating the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, association members, and the people.

In summary, for the 2019-2024 term, 9 out of 9 targets set forth in the Resolution of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province for the 2019-2024 term were achieved or exceeded.

The achievements of the Fatherland Front's work during the past term are of great and significant importance, creating social consensus and, together with Party committees, government agencies, and the people, successfully implementing economic, cultural, and social development goals and tasks. Political security has been maintained, the great national unity has been strengthened and expanded, and the Fatherland has been firmly protected. This has contributed to achieving and exceeding the targets and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

According to the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, with the achievements made in the past term, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has been recognized and commended by the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and especially had the honor of being awarded the Third-Class Independence Order by the President of Vietnam.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province, these achievements are thanks to the attention, guidance, and direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, and the increasingly effective coordination of government agencies at all levels.

The proactive and positive approach of member organizations; the dynamism, creativity, and correct identification of key tasks and priorities of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province; the efforts and dedication of the Front's staff from the provincial to the grassroots level; and especially the increasingly practical activities of the Front, closely linked to the direct interests of the people, receiving attention and support from the whole society.

At the first session, delegates consulted to elect the Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; approved the Program and Working Regulations of the Congress; and reported on the situation of delegates attending the Congress.

The delegates also heard the review report of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, term 2019-2024; the summary report of comments on the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Phuc province; the summary report of comments on the draft documents of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and suggestions for amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th term; and approved the personnel plan and the consultation for the election of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 15th term, 2024-2029.

67 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, 15th term, 2024-2029, were introduced at the Congress.

At the first working session, delegates participated in discussions and assessments to further clarify the results of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Vinh Phuc province and its member organizations in various aspects of their work.

At the Congress, delegates elected 67 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuc province, 15th term, 2024-2029.

Earlier that afternoon, delegates to the Congress offered incense and reported on their achievements at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House. They also offered incense at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs of Vinh Phuc province.
