Urgently repair damage to DT.741 and Tao Luc roads

The Department of Construction requested VRG Infrastructure Investment Company Limited to continue to maintain, monitor and promptly repair any damage that arises on the DT.741 route, ensuring traffic safety until the end of the contract and handover of the project according to regulations.

On the afternoon of October 16, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City Vo Khanh Hung said that in order to promptly repair and overcome damage to road infrastructure, ensure smooth and safe traffic on DT.741, Tao Luc road in particular and the entire Ho Chi Minh City area in general, the Department of Construction has sent a proposal to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for consideration and direction on many specific contents.

Accordingly, the Department of Construction requested VRG Infrastructure Investment Company Limited to continue to maintain, monitor and promptly repair any damage arising on DT.741 route, ensuring traffic safety until the end of the contract and handover of the project according to regulations.

The Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of the North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Bau Bang areas must urgently review and thoroughly repair the infrastructure damage of the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang Motive Road on the sections invested by the responsible unit, to be completed before October 25, 2025. The Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of the province is responsible for monitoring and urging the management boards of the areas to implement on schedule, and at the same time report the results to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Construction before October 30, 2025.

The Department of Construction will monitor, inspect and direct relevant units to implement the above contents; at the same time, review and promptly handle damage to traffic infrastructure on DT.741 route, Tao Luc Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road and other routes in the city; report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and direction on cases exceeding its authority.

According to the Department of Construction, on October 13, the inspection team noted that there were still some damaged spots on Tao Luc and DT.741 roads such as the area at the beginning of Tam Lap bridge, Song Be bridge, Bau De, DT.741 intersection and Suoi Nuoc Trong bridge. Many locations have been temporarily patched, but some spots have not been handled in time due to the effects of prolonged rain and storms. The inspection team requested the regional Project Management Boards to urgently urge contractors to review and thoroughly repair them.

In addition, the section from Km13+420 to Km13+620 of Tao Luc road has an unfinished road surface and a median ditch without a steel cover, part of the project from Tam Lap bridge to Dong Phu, which is facing land clearance problems. The inspection team requested Phu Giao Project Management Board to direct the construction unit to speed up the progress, complete the asphalt and install steel covers for the ditch about 400m long according to the design documents, ensuring traffic safety along the entire route.
