Urgently implement projects to preserve and restore historical and cultural relics.

Following the directive from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to accelerate the implementation of projects allocated in the medium-term investment plan using central government budget funds (domestic capital) for the period 2021-2025 under the Program for the Sustainable Preservation and Promotion of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Values, 2021-2030, the Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, has signed a document requesting relevant departments and agencies to urgently implement projects in the field of preservation and restoration of historical and cultural relics in Quang Tri province.

Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is requested to focus on completing investment procedures, directing the review and development of a comprehensive and detailed progress plan (with a view to shortening the process), assigning leaders to directly oversee and appointing officials and staff to closely monitor the progress of the following projects: the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Historical Site and the memorial sites commemorating the 81 days and nights of fighting to defend the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel; Thong Nhat Park at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Historical Site; and the component projects under the project for the preservation, restoration, and upgrading of key revolutionary historical sites in Quang Tri province.

At the same time, proactively work with relevant agencies and units of the province and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles, and to quickly organize construction and disbursement according to the allocated capital plan.

The Departments of Planning and Investment; Construction; and the Provincial Police, along with other relevant units, are requested to prioritize the allocation of personnel and focus on appraising projects under the Program for the Sustainable Preservation and Promotion of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Values, giai đoạn 2021 - 2030, and component projects under the Project for the Preservation, Restoration, and Upgrading of Key Revolutionary Historical Relics in Quang Tri Province (including the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Museum Project and the Vinh Moc Tunnel Relic Site Project) in the shortest possible time to ensure early implementation according to the set plan.
