Today, January 3rd, the Quang Tri Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, in coordination with the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, inaugurated the "National Flag Road" project along the roads leading to the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel historical site. The project aims to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3rd (1930 – 2024).

The "National Flag Road" in Quang Tri town, spanning over 5 km, is constructed along Ly Thai To, Phan Dinh Phung, Minh Mang, and Hai Ba Trung streets, leading to the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel historical site. The project aims to enhance the urban landscape, raise awareness, educate patriotism and national pride, and instill a sense of responsibility and action in future generations towards the nation's construction and defense.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Town People's Committee Le Phuong Bac said: "The National Flag Street" was built at the right time when the Party Committee, government and people of the town are striving to compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the great anniversaries of the homeland and the country. This is to encourage and motivate the town's cadres and people to promote the heroic and revolutionary tradition to strive to build the homeland to be more and more beautiful and civilized; at the same time, promote the heroic and revolutionary tradition of the homeland".
On this occasion, the "Scholarship Program to Support Ethnic Minority and Poor Students," managed and operated by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, also awarded 20 scholarships (1 million VND/scholarship) to underprivileged students in Quang Tri town.
Reportedly, the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper has so far donated a total of 49,500 national flags to Quang Tri province; of which, 5,000 flags were used to implement the "National Flag Road" component in Quang Tri town.
