THE DESIRE TO "GET WINGS" FROM THE NEW SCHOOL

In February 2024, the Lao Cai High School for the Gifted project officially started, opening a challenging journey. With a total investment of over 400 billion VND, on an area of nearly 14 hectares, this is one of the largest high school projects in the Northwest region in terms of scale.

It is even more meaningful when this project was chosen by Lao Cai province as one of the key projects, a meaningful gift that the province gives to the education sector to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

And after 18 months of rapid construction, the “house of knowledge” has become a reality, in the overwhelming joy of teachers, students and parents. A modern learning space, an architectural highlight of Lao Cai province, and above all, a great pride of the province’s education sector.

Entering each classroom, we can easily feel an open space, much more spacious than the usual standard. Large glass windows welcome natural light, bringing an airy, close-to-nature feeling. There is no longer a heavy distance between teachers and students, each classroom is designed as an open creative room, where students can easily exchange and interact. Smart interactive board system, modern projectors, high-speed internet connection... all are synchronized to serve learning and research. This is not just a classroom, but an experiential learning space, where curiosity is aroused, creativity is nurtured and the desire to conquer knowledge of each student.

If classrooms and subject rooms are places to impart knowledge, the library is the "heart" of the school, a place to nurture the soul, arouse passion and self-study of students.

Designed in an open, modern style, with a spacious reading space and rich resources, the library is especially connected online to the library systems of leading universities and academies around the world . This is a breakthrough, opening a door to unlimited knowledge, helping Lao Cai Specialized students to access the most valuable learning resources.

Besides the “heart of knowledge”, the dormitory is the place where dreams take flight. With hundreds of students coming from all over the province, many of them coming from difficult circumstances, a stable, safe and comfortable place to live is a prerequisite for them to be able to study with peace of mind.

The new dormitory, with its spacious, clean, and fully functional design, has become a warm communal home. It not only solves the problem of accommodation, but also motivates, helps poor students overcome difficulties to have more confidence and determination to pursue their dreams.

Not only studying, students also develop comprehensively in the multi-purpose sports area: from soccer field, basketball, pickaball to standard swimming pool. This is the place to practice health, will and team spirit - the luggage for them to step into life.

Joy, excitement and pride are the common feelings of fathers and mothers when they witness with their own eyes the place where their children will grow up.

The new school opens a wide door for generations of students, affirming a truth: even in the mountains, students can still study in an environment that is not inferior to any big city.

In the joy of welcoming the new school year, teachers and students here bring with them faith, pride and aspiration to nurture dreams to reach high and fly far. From here, generations of talented students will continue to shine, contributing to building a rich and beautiful homeland and country, worthy of being the leading flag of the Northwest region's leading education.
