Sharing his thoughts on the previously released collaborative song titled "Dear, Memory," the 47-year-old musician and pianist said that it not only originated from Ha Anh Tuan's idea when the singer suggested a joint project, but also because he himself wanted to reinvent himself, as he had previously only composed instrumental pieces for the piano.

Yiruma said that in order to create the most authentic and suitable product, he researched the male singer through the internet, from his songs, albums, performances… and became increasingly attracted to Ha Anh Tuan's unique voice. Yiruma also expressed that the singer of "April is a Lie" gave him a few ideas, one of which was to sing along with the audience, thus the song "Dear, Memory" was born with Vietnamese lyrics written by Ha Anh Tuan himself.
Recalling their first phone call, Yiruma said he asked why the singer chose to collaborate with him. He was then told that Vietnamese audiences, especially those from the 80s and 90s generations, had grown up with Yiruma's music through familiar songs like "Kiss the Rain," "River Flows in You ," etc., even though they sometimes didn't know who the artist behind those songs was. "This really inspired me. Many people I've met have said the same thing, and when Ha Anh Tuan mentioned it, I felt very honored and proud," pianist Yiruma expressed.
He also added that when he first met the singer, the two hugged each other so tightly it felt like they had known each other for a long time. After that, there was a vocal recording session in Seoul, and despite having to travel more than 5 hours from Ho Chi Minh City and not being in the best health, Ha Anh Tuan did his best.
Yiruma said she still wants to continue collaborating with Ha Anh Tuan on upcoming projects.
As an artist accustomed to creating and performing in enclosed spaces, Yiruma said that an outdoor event with a capacity of over ten thousand spectators was quite challenging for him, due to many influencing factors, one of which was sound quality. However, the audience could also feel the clouds, wind, moon, sky, all the surrounding beauty… and most importantly, the music was played live. Furthermore, direct interaction with the audience was another advantage, allowing the artist to truly shine. Therefore, "apart from a few things that need attention, the music remains the same," Yiruma said. He added that he is very eager to perform.
Sharing his future plans, Yiruma revealed that he and Ha Anh Tuan plan to release another version of "Dear, Memory" and believe this will be the starting point for further projects where the male singer can collaborate with other Korean artists. When asked if he would accept a collaboration offer from any Vietnamese singer, Yiruma jokingly said "no," because he still wants to continue working with Ha Anh Tuan.
