Groundbreaking ceremony of Tan Yen underground mining project - Dong Trang Bach mine

On the morning of August 19, at Dong Trang Bach mine, Hoang Que ward, Uong Bi Coal Company - TKV organized the groundbreaking ceremony of Tan Yen underground mining project - Dong Trang Bach mine. This is one of the projects that were simultaneously started and inaugurated to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2025).

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee sent flower baskets to congratulate the project groundbreaking ceremony.

The Tan Yen underground mining project - Dong Trang Bach mine has an area of over 3.4km², with a total investment (after tax) of 1,201 billion VND, mineral reserves allowed to be put into mining design of 13.001 million tons; designed mining capacity of 450,000 tons of raw coal/year.

The implementation of the Tan Yen underground mining project - Dong Trang Bach mine aims to exploit and effectively use the explored reserves, maintain and increase the mine's output, meet the coal demand for the national economy , in line with the production and business development plan of the Company, the Group and the development orientation of the national energy master plan; create jobs and stable income for more than 1,000 workers. Thereby, contributing with other units in the industry to promote the strong development of the Group, while ensuring national energy security.

Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group rewarded individuals and groups of Uong Bi Coal Company - TKV for their achievements in preparing for investment and starting the Tan Yen underground mining project - Dong Trang Bach mine.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the leaders of Uong Bi Coal Company - TKV committed to organizing the investment, construction and exploitation of the project on schedule, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with regulations on investment management, construction and mineral exploitation. The company will apply mechanized technology diagrams in digging stone tunnels; increase the application of tunnel support technology with anchors in areas with permitted geological conditions, ensuring the basic construction time and putting the first longwall into operation expected in the first quarter of 2028.
