Sturdy houses will help disadvantaged people in the mountainous district of Vu Quang ( Ha Tinh province ) to live more conveniently and feel more secure when the rainy and stormy season arrives.
On the morning of May 27th, the People's Committee of Vu Quang district, the District Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Ha Tinh Business Club in the South and the Provincial Business Association, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of charitable houses for two disadvantaged households in the area. |
The team commenced the construction of a house for Ms. Le Thi Thanh's family in Dong Minh village, Huong Minh commune.
Accordingly, the delegation visited to begin construction of a charitable house for the family of Ms. Le Thi Thanh (born in 1960, Dong Minh village, Huong Minh commune). Ms. Thanh is a near-poor household, currently living in a dilapidated single-story house; her income mainly depends on farming, and she faces many difficulties in life.
The newly built house has an area of 50 square meters and cost approximately 120 million VND in total. Of that amount, the Ha Tinh Business Club in the South contributed 70 million VND, with the remaining amount contributed by relatives and labor support.
The delegation commenced the construction of a charitable house for Mr. Tran Hue's family in Hamlet 1 - Van Giang (Duc Giang commune).
The delegation also visited and commenced the construction of a charitable house for the family of Mr. Tran Hue (born in 1950, Hamlet 1 - Van Giang, Duc Giang Commune), a poor household with frequent illnesses, currently living with his wife in a cramped, severely dilapidated house.
The new house, measuring 60 square meters , was built at a total cost of approximately 150 million VND. Of this amount, the Ha Tinh Business Club in the South contributed 70 million VND, with the remainder contributed by his relatives.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of the Ha Tinh Business Club in the South expressed their hope that the local authorities would create the best possible conditions to ensure the construction of sturdy houses on schedule, with guaranteed quality, meeting living requirements and providing safe shelter during natural disasters.
Previously, the Ha Tinh Business Club in the South had presented 50 gift packages, each worth 600,000 VND...
...and Vu Quang district awarded 20 grants, each worth 200,000 VND, to disadvantaged individuals in the district.
