The cold air mass is intensifying, with strong northeasterly winds of level 6 recorded at Bach Long Vy station.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air has currently had a weak impact on the North Central region and some places in the Northwest.

In the Hai Phong area, it will be cold at night and in the morning, with the lowest temperatures generally ranging from 19 to 21°C.

At Bach Long Vy station, strong northeast winds of level 6 were recorded, sometimes level 7, with gusts up to level 8; Con Co station recorded strong northeast winds of level 6.

Throughout the day and night of October 21st, the cold air mass continued to affect the Central region and some other areas in the Northwest region. Northeast winds were at level 3, and level 3-4 in coastal areas. Northern Vietnam and Thanh Hoa: Cold at night and in the morning, freezing in mountainous areas. Lowest temperatures: plains and Thanh Hoa: 19–21°C; midland and mountainous areas: 17–19°C; high mountainous areas: below 16°C. Hanoi area: No rain at night, sunny during the day; cold at night and in the morning, temperatures 19–21°C.

Weather forecast for the Hai Phong area

According to the Hai Phong Meteorological and Hydrological Station, on October 21-22, the cold air mass will continue to intensify, bringing cold weather to Hai Phong during the night and morning, with the lowest temperatures generally ranging from 19-21°C.

On land, there are northeasterly winds of force 2-3. At sea: In the Gulf of Tonkin (including the waters of the Bach Long Vi special economic zone), there are northeasterly winds.
The wind gradually intensified to level 6, then at times increased to level 7, gusting to levels 8-9, causing rough seas with waves 1.5-2.5m high. In the Do Son, Cat Hai - Lan Ha Bay sea areas, the northeast wind was level 3-4, with waves 0.25-0.75m high.

Strong winds and high waves at sea affect the operation of ships, aquaculture farms, and other activities. The cold weather at night and in the morning also negatively impacts human health.
