Stimulating tourism to promote the message "Green tourism destination"

On the afternoon of June 22nd, in Hoi An City, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a press conference to announce the 2023 tourism stimulus program "Quang Nam - Summer Emotions".

The 2023 Quang Nam - Summer Emotions Tourism Stimulus Program, running from June 22nd to September 30th, 2023, features many outstanding and attractive activities and events stretching from the coastal areas to the western mountainous regions, such as the "Hoi An - Summer Emotions" Sea Festival, themed "Hoi An - Dance of the Sea," which will be held at Cua Dai beach with various activities. Alongside this are regular activities such as the Tan Thanh fishing village market. Especially this July, the Tan Hiep island commune will host the "Cu Lao Cham - Season of Red Paulownia Flowers" event and coral reef restoration experience.

A series of unique and attractive cultural, artistic, sporting , and culinary activities within the "Hoi An - Dance of the Sea" festival program, taking place from June 16th to July 22nd, will showcase the strengths of Hoi An's marine and island tourism resources, making Hoi An a "Green Tourism Destination"...;

Additionally, from June 15th to September 30th, there will be attractive activities and events in Tam Ky City and the mountainous districts of Quang Nam province, such as the Tra My Cinnamon Festival; the Gong and Drum Festival; the Mountainous Districts' Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival; the Co Tu Traditional Culture Festival; the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival; the Vietnam Silk Festival; and Quang Nam Culture and Tourism Days in Can Tho...

At the press conference, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, stated: Quang Nam – a renowned region on Vietnam's tourism map – is notable for its two World Cultural Heritage sites: the ancient town of Hoi An and the My Son Sanctuary; the Cham Island – Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve; and the Bai Choi art form – an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO. In 2022, the Tra Que vegetable farming craft was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Quang Nam also boasts 125 km of coastline with many famous beaches, Song Thanh National Park, Ky Anh Tunnel - one of the three largest tunnels in the country today, Loc Yen Ancient Village - one of the four ancient villages in the country classified as a national historical site, the majestic and poetic Truong Son mountain range, Ngoc Linh Ginseng - a national treasure of Vietnam... along with nearly 450 other famous historical and cultural relics and scenic spots.

Quang Nam hopes that the "Quang Nam - Summer Emotions" program in 2023, along with its unique, attractive, and distinctive tourism products, will continue to create momentum in attracting tourists, contributing to the effective and sustainable recovery and development of tourism in Quang Nam province in the coming time.

To ensure the success of the tourism stimulus program, the Vice Chairman of Quang Nam province called on the business community to actively participate, improve the quality of tourism programs, effectively exploit tourist areas, attractions, and routes; and improve and enhance the quality of human resources and services.

"We urge businesses participating in the program to strengthen communication efforts in accordance with the content and message of the tourism stimulus program, and especially to commit to selling at the correct price and providing the right products and quality services to tourists," Mr. Buu emphasized.

At the press conference on tourism stimulus in 2023, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu informed that the results of tourism business activities in Quang Nam province in the first six months of 2023 have been positive: The total number of tourists visiting and staying overnight is estimated at nearly 4.6 million; of which, domestic tourists increased by 57% with a total estimated number of 2.5 million...
