On September 16, the District Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of Kim Son district organized a series of activities in response to Green Saturday and Clean Sunday.

In Luu Phuong commune, the youth union members of Kim Son district distributed leaflets to encourage people to reduce the use of plastic bags and plastic waste and gave people straw bags; introduced and guided traders at Luu Phuong market to open electronic payment accounts and make cashless payments when selling goods.

The District Police Youth Union organized a mobile propaganda campaign for the people to comply with regulations on ensuring security, order and traffic safety. Afterwards, the members and youths participated in collecting trash, clearing grass and cleaning the environment along the An River section through Luu Phuong commune.

In Tan Thanh commune, the District Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union organized the inauguration of a youth road to protect the environment in hamlet 6, with a length of about 500m and 50 public trash bins installed. Along with that, an activity of exchanging scrap for trees was organized at Tan Thanh Primary School, in which students and people can exchange paper, cardboard, metal, cans, and plastic for ornamental plants.

Through the activities, a large number of union members and youth of Kim Son district have participated, from propaganda activities to specific actions, to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of union members, association members and people of all walks of life in environmental protection, ensuring security, order and traffic safety in the area.

This is also a practical activity of the District Youth Union and the Kim Son District Youth Union to respond to the 4th National Green Sunday program in 2023, contributing to the youth's efforts to build a green - clean - beautiful environment, contributing to the construction of new rural areas, civilized urban areas and gradually forming a civilized lifestyle, more responsible for the environment of each individual in society.
