Bank interest rates today, November 6, 2024: A number of banks have recently increased deposit interest rates. The highest interest rates remain for longer terms of 18 months or more.
No banks have yet adjusted their interest rates this morning.
According to a survey of bank interest rates, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBank) is currently offering the highest official deposit interest rates. Currently, deposit interest rates for 15-18 month terms reach 6.2%/year, and for 24-month terms reach 6.3%/year.
ABBank is currently listing the highest interest rate in the system for 18-month term deposits at 5.2%/year. This is followed by Bac A Bank (6.15%/year), Dong A Bank, HD Bank, Oceanbank (6.1%/year), BaovietBank, BVBank, and Saigonbank (6%/year).
The remaining banks are listing this term with interest rates of 5-5.9% per year.
Meanwhile, state-owned commercial banks are offering 18-month term interest rates of only 4.6-4.7% per year.
For a 12-month term, ABBank is offering a relatively high interest rate of up to 5.9% per year. Banks with lower interest rates ranging from 5.8% to 5.85% include Bac A Bank, BaovietBank, BVBank, Dong A Bank, etc.
Recently, the market has seen only a few banks adjust deposit interest rates upwards. Most recently, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Bank ( Techcombank ) adjusted deposit interest rates upwards for terms under 6 months.
According to the online deposit interest rate schedule, for deposits under 1 billion VND, the 1-2 month term increased by 0.1%/year to 3.35%/year, and for 3-5 month terms, it increased by 0.1%/year to 3.65%/year. Techcombank also applied corresponding increases to deposit accounts from 1 to 3 billion VND and over 3 billion VND.
This bank is keeping deposit interest rates unchanged for terms of 6 months or more.
Subsequently, on November 4th, ABBank increased deposit interest rates for terms from 6-11 months, with an increase of 0.2%/year to 5.5%/year for 6-month online deposits and an increase of 0.1%/year to 5.6%/year for 7-11 month online deposits.
Thus, since November, two banks have increased deposit interest rates: Techcombank and ABBank, while one bank has reduced interest rates: Construction Bank.
