According to Mr. Vo Tien Chung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Son commune, from the night of October 27 to the morning of October 28, heavy rain occurred in the area, causing the water from the Luuy River to rise and flow rapidly, resulting in severe flooding of many residential areas and agricultural land. In particular, the section of National Highway 1A passing over Ong Vat bridge was completely submerged, making it impassable for vehicles.

As of around 7:30 AM that day, the water was still deep, reaching up to 1 meter in some places, causing long lines of vehicles to be stuck at both ends of the flooded area.
Authorities have been mobilized to regulate traffic and direct vehicles to the Hoa Thang coastal road to ensure safety.

Local authorities are urgently assessing the damage and implementing plans to mitigate the consequences of the floods.
