Lam Dong: National Highway 1A through Luong Son commune is deeply flooded, traffic is congested.

On the morning of October 28, prolonged heavy rain caused floodwater from upstream to flow down, deeply inundating a section of National Highway 1A through Luong Son commune (Lam Dong province), causing traffic congestion.

According to Mr. Vo Tien Chung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Son Commune, from the night of October 27 to the morning of October 28, heavy rain occurred in the area, water from the Luy River rose and poured down quickly, causing many residential areas and crop areas to be heavily flooded. In particular, the section of National Highway 1A passing Ong Vat Bridge was flooded, covering the road surface, making it impossible for vehicles to pass.

Dozens of households' houses were submerged in water.

As of about 7:30 a.m. the same day, the water was still deep, up to 1 meter in some places, with long lines of vehicles jammed at both ends of the flooded area.

Authorities have been mobilized to regulate traffic and guide vehicles along Hoa Thang coastal road to ensure safety.

The flood water has not yet receded, many people's properties have been damaged.

Local authorities are urgently assessing the damage and implementing plans to overcome the consequences of floods.
