
According to the Provincial Statistics Department, Hai Duong's consumer price index (CPI) in November decreased by 0.75% compared to October. This is the first time Hai Duong's consumer price index has decreased since the beginning of 2024.
On average over the first 11 months, the CPI increased by 3.29% compared to the same period in 2023.
In November, 5 groups of goods and services saw price increases, 5 groups saw price decreases, and 1 group remained stable compared to October. Several groups experienced significant price drops, contributing greatly to the decrease in the CPI compared to the previous month. Specifically, the food and beverage group decreased by 2.09%, with fresh, dried, and processed vegetables decreasing by 24.96%, pork prices decreasing by 0.75%, and fresh seafood prices decreasing by 0.18%.
The housing, electricity, water, fuel, and building materials group decreased by 0.59%, including a 3.66% decrease in household electricity prices, a 0.3% decrease in household water prices, and a 0.23% decrease in house maintenance material prices. The other goods and services group decreased by 0.12%, including an 8.24% decrease in jewelry and 0.02% decrease in funeral and wedding items.
Some items saw slight price increases in November compared to October, such as: household appliances and goods increased by 0.1%; clothing, hats, and footwear increased by 0.07%; beverages, tobacco, medicines, and medical services, as well as culture, entertainment, and tourism, all increased by 0.02%.
