The General Statistics Office has just announced that the prices of consumer goods and services in August increased and decreased, in which the prices of food, foodstuffs, and rental housing increased compared to July 2024, and domestic gasoline prices decreased following world prices.

Overall, the consumer price index (CPI) in August remained stable compared to the previous month. Compared to December 2023, the CPI in August increased by 1.89% and compared to the same period last year, it increased by 3.45%.

On average, in the first 8 months of 2024, CPI increased by 4.04% over the same period last year; core inflation increased by 2.71%./.
