
In September, there were 3 groups of goods and services with price decreases, 2 groups with stable prices, and 6 groups with price increases compared to August.
Among the groups experiencing price increases, several saw significant gains: food and food services increased by 3.23%, primarily driven by increases in livestock meat and processed meat products. Notably, the price increases of many green vegetables following Typhoon No. 3 contributed to the CPI rise. The housing, electricity, water, fuel, and construction materials group increased by 0.67%, mainly due to increases in items such as housing and gas. The postal and telecommunications group increased by 0.58%, primarily due to increases in telephone equipment.
Conversely, some commodity groups saw price decreases this month compared to August, such as: the transportation group decreased by 3.06%, mainly due to a decrease in fuel prices; the beverages and tobacco group decreased by 0.08%; and the clothing, hats, and footwear group decreased by 0.01%.
