For this book launch, poet and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung is releasing three books titled "Our Story," "Poetic Dialogues and Commentary," and "Our Beloved Family."

The first book, "Our Story," is an autobiography about a love affair expressed through handwritten letters with a life partner, spanning the years from childhood friendship to youthful love and the trials of separation for a couple destined for a late but peaceful happiness.

The second book, "Poetic Dialogues and Commentary," comprises poetic exchanges between two lifelong poet friends.

The third book, "My Beloved Family," expresses the author's passionate and profound love for his extended family, emphasizing that family affection is the core and solid foundation for love of country, love of fellow citizens, love of humanity, and love of all things.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Ha Book Joint Stock Company, said, "I was deeply moved by a program that was organized simply yet profoundly. The artists participating in the musical performances, the poetry recitations, and the poems by author Nguyen Thi My Dung set to music brought many emotions to the listeners. Especially the performances by the teachers, who are both colleagues and students of the poet and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung, made this book launch program truly special, more than just a simple book launch."

“We, who have been involved in publishing for many years, upon receiving the manuscripts from author Nguyen Thi My Dung, organized the editing process and strived to perfect them for this launch. I am confident that the books will create a buzz, starting with the more than 100 bookstore staff members who will be among the first to read them. Through the content of the books, love, happiness, and kindness will spread everywhere,” shared Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung.

Speaking at the book launch, poet and educator Nguyen Thi My Dung expressed her gratitude to Thai Ha Book Joint Stock Company and her colleagues for their encouragement and for compiling and editing the book to celebrate her 86th birthday. The author also thanked all the staff of the Vietnam Women's Museum for their support in many important events over the years, especially for organizing the collection and presentation of documents and artifacts to the public.

Speaking about the poetry collection "Poetry Dialogues and Commentary," poet and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung said: "Since 2017, I and another author, Nguyet Le, have posted poems on Facebook. Since then, we have both shared the joy of loving poetry. It was also during that time that we became close friends, despite being from different regions of Vietnam, only knowing each other through social media and never having met in person."

“Throughout the poetry collection is a dialogue between two poets, filled with affection, compassion, and a shared understanding between two lovers of poetry. Each line expresses empathy and mutual understanding… in which I always advise her to cherish what she has and strive to overcome life’s difficulties. Through each verse, I only want to contribute ‘bricks’ to ‘build’ her life and her poetry, making it less bumpy and uneven,” author Nguyen Thi My Dung confided.

Regarding the book "Our Story," poet and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung shared: the book has 7 chapters, starting with "School Days," followed by "Friendship from Afar," "More Than Love," "Love," "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl," "Test by Fire," and the final chapter is "My Love for You is a Difficult Situation." It contains handwritten letters expressing the various stages of love; all the feelings of the two are conveyed through these letters, including the pure and simple love between two people working in different places, under challenging wartime conditions.

Regarding the book "Our Beloved Family" by author Nguyen Thi My Dung, it contains many poems and stories about family feelings across generations, including relationships between paternal and maternal sides, four-generation families, relationships between family members, and the affection between mother and child, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, grandmother and grandchild... Here, I want to emphasize that family love will be the source, the foundation, and the basis for love of country and love of fellow citizens…

Traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to attend the launch of three books, journalist Huynh Dung Nhan said, "I admire the unceasing creativity of poet and teacher Nguyen Thi My Dung. Through each poem, I see that the author treats her friends with affection; there is simplicity, openness, intimacy, but also profound meaning."

"And most importantly, through these books, I see a great source of energy, an unceasing creative spirit, and a passionate participation in cultural and artistic activities. All of this gives me positive energy, and I have learned a great deal from the author," journalist Huynh Dung Nhan added.
