National Assembly leaders and Committee Chairmen after reorganization

(NLDO)- After the reorganization, the National Assembly leadership includes National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and 6 National Assembly Vice Chairmen.

On the afternoon of February 18th, the National Assembly elected and passed a resolution electing the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly and the Chairpersons of several National Assembly Committees after restructuring and streamlining the apparatus.

Following the restructuring, the National Assembly leadership consists of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; and the Vice-Chairmen are: Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Mr. Tran Quang Phuong, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Mr. Le Minh Hoan, and Mr. Vu Hong Thanh.

The National Assembly's organs also underwent many changes after the merger, including: the National Council, which retained its current name. The Chairman of the National Council is Mr. Y Thanh Hà Niê K'đăm.

The Committee on Law and Justice was established by merging the Committee on Law and the Committee on Justice. The Chairman of the Committee on Law and Justice is Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung.

The Economic and Financial Committee was established by merging the Economic Committee and the Finance and Budget Committee. The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee is Mr. Phan Van Mai.

The Committee on Culture and Society was established by merging the Committee on Culture and Education and the Committee on Social Affairs. Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh is the Chairman of this Committee.

The Committee on National Defence, Security and Foreign Affairs was established by merging a portion of foreign affairs work into the Committee on Defence and Security. Mr. Le Tan Toi serves as the Chairman of the Committee on National Defence, Security and Foreign Affairs.

The names of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment and the Office of the National Assembly remain unchanged. The Chairman of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment is Mr. Le Quang Huy.

Mr. Le Quang Tung, Secretary General of the National Assembly, holds the position of Head of the National Assembly Office.

Two committees under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly have been upgraded to committees: the Committee on Citizen Petitions and Supervision; and the Committee on Representative Affairs. Mr. Dương Thanh Bình is the Chairperson of the Committee on Citizen Petitions and Supervision; and Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hải is the Chairperson of the Committee on Representative Affairs.
