Mr. Dang Xuan Phong emphasized that, over the 48 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations (1976 - 2024), the Vietnam-Thailand relationship has developed well and been upgraded to an "Enhanced Vietnam-Thailand Strategic Partnership" based on mutual respect, trust, and mutual benefit, especially cooperation in the fields of trade and investment.

Strategically located in the heart of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, and bordering Yunnan Province (China), Lao Cai serves as an important link in economic trade between Vietnam and ASEAN countries with Southwest China.

On this occasion, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya conveyed the gratitude of the Princess of Thailand to the leaders of Lao Cai province for thoughtfully organizing the visit to Nam Cuong Primary School in Lao Cai city.

It also serves as a vertical connecting center for the Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic corridor and a horizontal connecting center between the northern border provinces bordering China, connecting East and West.
