Launching ceremony for releasing fish and other aquatic species to regenerate and protect aquatic resources.

On March 26, at Ham Ky Lake, Xuan Ang Commune, Ha Hoa District, the Department of Fisheries and Management of Agricultural, Forestry and Aquatic Product Quality (Department of Agriculture and Environment) coordinated with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province and the People's Committee of Ha Hoa District to organize a launching ceremony to respond to the release of fish and the regeneration of aquatic resources in 2025, on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Fisheries industry (April 1, 1959 * April 1, 2025).

Leaders of the Fisheries and Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Product Quality Sub-Department launched a campaign to release fish fry for the purpose of restoring and replenishing aquatic resources.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Fisheries and Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Product Quality Sub-Department launched a movement for all citizens to participate in the protection, conservation, restoration, regeneration and development of aquatic resources and the protection of the ecological environment. This is a practical activity, demonstrating the role and responsibility of organizations, individuals and the people in jointly preserving, protecting, regenerating and developing aquatic resources in areas with natural water sources.

Delegates released fish fry into Ham Ky Lake in Xuan Ang commune to replenish aquatic resources.

At the same time, we will promote and encourage people not to fish using electric shocks, toxic substances, and prohibited fishing gear; and actively promote the development of aquaculture to reduce pressure on fishing activities.

Following the launch ceremony, over 100,000 native aquatic species, including grass carp, silver carp, crucian carp, and common carp, were released into Ham Ky Lake.
