At 11:30 PM today (October 25th), Man Utd will host Brighton at Old Trafford in the 9th round of the English Premier League. Ahead of this match, Ruben Amorim's team is in excellent form, having won 3 out of their last 4 games.

In particular, the victory at Anfield against Liverpool in the previous round has given Ruben Amorim's team a high level of confidence. They have climbed to 9th place in the standings with 13 points after 8 matches, just 6 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
However, while enjoying a period of success, Man Utd received bad news as both Harry Maguire and Mason Mount are doubtful for the match against Brighton. Both players played a significant role in the Red Devils' 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the previous round. Maguire scored the winning goal, while Mount was energetic throughout the game.
Manager Amorim revealed the status of the two players: “Manchester United’s current squad is generally fine. We have a few players to monitor, such as Maguire and Mount. They suffered minor collisions, but nothing serious. We will assess them further tomorrow. Lisandro Martinez is still unavailable, but the rest of the team is ready.”
The Portuguese manager also praised Brighton, an opponent who had beaten Man Utd in both legs last season and who had even triumphed at Old Trafford three times in a row under three different managers.
Coach Amorim added: “I think this will be a very difficult match. Brighton is a very interesting team. They play organized football, handle transitions very well, and are showing all-around abilities in many aspects, including set pieces. We have to be very focused and intelligent to face this club.”

The 40-year-old Manchester United manager also had nothing but praise for his colleague Fabian Hurzeler, who is only 32 years old and entering his second season managing Brighton. Manager Amorim said: “You can clearly see Fabian’s influence in the way Brighton plays. It’s a style of play full of energy and belief. They are loyal to their philosophy, even under pressure. I’m a real fan of Fabian.”
In the match against Brighton, Bruno Fernandes will mark his 300th appearance for Man Utd. Speaking about the club captain, manager Amorim admitted his surprise: “I think he’s different from what people usually say. Bruno Fernandes is extremely focused, sometimes he can show frustration but it comes from a desire to help the team.”
He always wants to take responsibility, and he feels deeply whenever the team doesn't win. To me, that's the quality of a true leader, a great player. Hopefully, tomorrow, Bruno will reach that memorable milestone in a truly special way.”
