Cuban blood and bones are not regrettable... what regret to share!

These days, throughout the country and in Lam Dong, the spirit of sharing with the Cuban people has been strongly aroused. Those who have little contribute little, those who have much contribute much, all share the same heart towards the country halfway around the world, but have never been far away in their affection for Vietnam...

As of the morning of September 10, 2025, the campaign to support the Cuban people with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba Friendship" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society has received more than 420 billion VND, with more than 2 million donations. In Lam Dong alone, after launching on August 25, by the morning of September 10, the provincial Red Cross Society has also received support with an amount of more than 270 million VND and is continuing to donate. Those numbers are not only material, but also a symbol of affection, responsibility and the morality of "remembering the source of drinking water".

For the Vietnamese people, Cuba is not just a distant friend. It is a country that has shared the hardships, shouldered and shared the most difficult times with us during the years of resistance against the US to save the country. The proof of that is the immortal saying of leader Fidel Castro: "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood", right at the rally at Jose Marti Revolution Square in La Habana on January 2, 1966, on the occasion of the anniversary of the success of the Cuban Revolution (January 1, 1959 - January 1, 1966) and to welcome the Asia-Africa-Latin America Solidarity Conference. That saying has become an steadfast oath of comradeship and brotherhood between the two countries to this day. And Fidel Castro was also the first and only head of state to enter the liberated zone of Quang Tri in 1973, between the bombs and bullets, to express special international solidarity with the Vietnamese people.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee participated in contributing to support the Cuban people at the launching ceremony on September 8.

Cuba is also present with warm love and boundless sacrifice through works and works on Vietnamese land, helping us to rise up and overcome difficulties during and after the war. We must not forget that while the US imperialists were waging a destructive war in the North, many Cuban doctors and medical staff came to help treat wounded soldiers and victims. Or despite the blockade by bombs and mines of the US imperialists, Cuban ships still docked at Hai Phong port to transport relief goods from the Cuban people to help the Vietnamese people. Cuban engineers, workers and experts contributed to the construction of Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital, Thang Loi Hotel, bridges, roads, factories... with their mark still deeply imprinted in today's life.

Therefore, when the Cuban people are currently going through a difficult period, the Vietnamese people in general and Lam Dong in particular cannot stand aside. Today's donation is not only a gesture of sharing, but also a continuation of tradition, a way for us to show gratitude for the blood affection that Cuba has given to Vietnam.

Perhaps, in daily life, depending on the circumstances, the contributions of each individual and each group will not be large. But when added together, it is an ocean of affection, a priceless spiritual strength. It is also an affirmation that the friendship between Vietnam and Cuba will never fade under the test of time.

Today, we share so that in the future we can be proud that the Vietnamese people have been and are continuing to write a beautiful story of friendship with the Cuban people, a story that began with blood and bones, with noble sacrifice.
