Medlatec Group receives investment from Ares Management to develop Vietnamese healthcare to international standards

This marks a historic milestone as Medlatec Group becomes the first healthcare unit in Vietnam to be invested by Ares' Asian private equity group, affirming the increasing confidence of global investors in Vietnam's private healthcare industry.

Overview of the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement MEDLATEC GROUP received investment from ARES MANAGEMENT.

This cooperation opens a new development milestone for Medlatec Group in the journey to build a smart, international-standard medical ecosystem, contributing to improving the quality of healthcare for Vietnamese people and affirming the position of Vietnamese healthcare on the regional and world map.

Ares Management Corporation is a leading global investment management firm, with primary and secondary market investment solutions in credit, real estate, private equity and infrastructure. As of June 2025, Ares manages over $572 billion in assets in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific , and has offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri, National Assembly Deputy (XIV, XV), Founder, Chairman of the Advisory Board, Chairman of the Science, Technology and Training Council of MEDLATEC GROUP spoke at the Ceremony.

This transaction marks the first time Ares’ Asian private equity group has invested in the healthcare sector in Vietnam, demonstrating strong confidence in the governance capacity, financial transparency and long-term sustainability potential of Vietnamese businesses.

The strategic investment from Ares opens a new development phase for Medlatec with the following focuses: promoting digital transformation in healthcare and expanding investment in artificial intelligence (AI) in diagnosis and treatment; expanding the system of hospitals and international standard laboratories in key economic regions of Vietnam; improving comprehensive customer experience, aiming for "smart - humane - international standard healthcare" services.
