Visa exemption does not distinguish between passport types or entry purposes, based on meeting all conditions prescribed by Vietnamese law.
The visa exemption policy when entering Vietnam for citizens of the above countries is implemented for a period of 3 years, from today (March 15) to March 14, 2025 and will be considered for extension according to the provisions of Vietnamese law.
With this Resolution, Vietnam has restored the unilateral visa exemption policy for 13 countries as before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also this afternoon, the General Department of Tourism will hold a press conference on reopening tourism activities under new normal conditions, after the Government Office issued a document announcing the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, requesting the Ministry of Health to amend regulations and requirements for tourists entering the country to suit the new situation in the spirit of direction in Resolution 25 of the Politburo.
Meanwhile, the entire tourism ecosystem from aviation, travel to accommodation, entertainment venues... is ready to open its doors to welcome guests. Businesses expect that with the current high demand of international tourists, when Vietnam fully opens to international tourism through regular flights, the number of international visitors to Vietnam will increase rapidly. Vietnam tourism will soon recover.
