On the afternoon of October 21st, the Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) awarded the Jackpot 1 prize of the Power 6/55 product to customer NVH. This prize is worth nearly 180 billion VND, from the draw held on September 30th.
This prize had accumulated over more than 2.5 months. Most recently, Jackpot 1 found a winner on July 12th, with a value of nearly 345 billion VND. This is also the largest prize since the company started operating its computerized lottery business in 2016.

Mr. H., the lucky winner, is currently a teacher living in Da Nang City. He has a daily habit of playing the lottery, buying tickets worth 20,000-30,000 VND each time. He recounted: “That day, after a few draws, I went to my usual lottery ticket vendor to buy new tickets and check my old ones on the verification device. Among the tickets I had bought, there was one that won over 179 billion VND. I couldn't believe I could win such a large sum of money.”
Mr. H. also said that he had previously won small prizes ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 VND, but this prize was too large, beyond his wildest imagination. Therefore, Mr. H. will plan to use this money carefully and wisely to improve the lives of his family and relatives.
According to regulations, Mr. H. is obligated to pay personal income tax in Da Nang City, the locality where the ticket was issued, on a total value of over 17.9 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND). After deductions, he will receive approximately 161 billion VND.
