On the morning of December 13, Hanoi Capital University held a ceremony to celebrate its 65th anniversary of establishment and development (1959 - 2024) and 10th anniversary of its establishment. This is the first public university directly managed by the Hanoi People's Committee.

Sharing about the development journey, Associate Professor Dr. Do Hong Cuong, Principal of Hanoi Capital University said: "In the first years of construction from 1959 to 1964, the school encountered countless difficulties in terms of facilities; staff, teachers, textbooks, reference materials... but with great efforts and solidarity, the collective of lecturers, staff and students of the school have excellently completed their tasks, creating a solid foundation for the continuous development of the first pedagogicaleducation center of the capital".
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Do Hong Cuong, the school is currently training 29 undergraduate majors, 2 Master's majors, and 1 PhD major. With a total number of more than 10,000 students. In the coming time, the school will focus on developing scale while improving quality by: converting 100% of the training program to an applied career-oriented training program; organizing applied career-oriented training based on the professional autonomy of lecturers; developing diverse types of training and training services to meet the needs of learners; enhancing scientific research and implementing community service activities.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha presented flowers and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and the City People's Committee to the Hanoi Capital University and Associate Professor Dr. Do Hong Cuong - Principal of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the University Council for their achievements in education and training in recent times.
