Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of the Hue City Department of Tourism , announced that the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will take place on the evening of March 25th at the stage on the banks of the Perfume River, in front of Hue National High School for the Gifted.

The event lasted 90 minutes, featuring an art program themed "The River's Love Song," along with a spectacular fireworks display.
The opening program consists of three parts: "Legends of a River," "Converging Rivers," and "New Flows of Rivers," honoring the tangible and intangible cultural values and unique tourism resources of Vietnam.
The event featured over 800 famous actors, singers, artists, and international art troupes from China and South Korea.
The opening night also featured many impressive performances such as drone light shows, electronic drums and water shows, panorama water music, flying dragons, paragliding, etc.
The highlight is a 10-13 minute high-altitude fireworks display at the Hue Citadel area.
The leaders of the Hue City Department of Tourism emphasized that the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is a cultural, economic , and social event of national and international significance, linked to the Hue Festival 2025 and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City).

The event will contribute to promoting tourism linkages between localities, exploiting potential and creating strong momentum for the development of Hue tourism.
According to the Hue City People's Committee, the National Tourism Year 2025 has the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities," with nearly 160 national and local events.
The activities focus on four seasonal festivals: Spring in the Ancient Capital, The Shining Imperial City, Hue in Autumn, and Hue in Winter. The opening ceremony will take place on March 25th, while the closing ceremony is scheduled for the end of December 2025.
The National Tourism Year 2025 is expected to help Hue city welcome 5.25-5.5 million visitors and overnight stays; of which, domestic tourists account for about 70-80%, with estimated revenue of 11,000-12,000 billion VND.
