Despite the harsh weather, more than 170 "steel roses" from the female police force enthusiastically practiced in preparation for the parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
These days, at the Vietnam National Ethnic Culture Village (Son Tay, Hanoi ), more than 800 police officers and soldiers are enthusiastically practicing for the parade and march to be performed at the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). The police parade section features the full participation of all forces, with over 1,325 officers divided into 11 contingents, currently practicing at 3 locations. At the Vietnam National Ethnic Culture Village alone, there are more than 800 officers and soldiers with 8 training units, including: People's Security Officers, People's Police, Mobile Police, Fire and Rescue Police, Traffic Police Officers, Special Forces Police... In particular, the Traffic Police and Special Forces units will be staffed by 170 female officers and soldiers. Among them, the female Special Forces unit is likened to "steel roses". Female Special Forces soldier Ha Thi Hong Nhi said that to prepare for the parade and march during the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, she and her fellow female soldiers have been training for over two months. "In the early days of training, we had to practice keeping our legs straight, in the correct posture and demeanor. The movements required lifting our legs and keeping our toes exactly 35cm off the ground, while our arms holding the rifles needed to be both flexible and firm, dignified. In the first few days of training, we felt very tired, but because of the honor and pride of participating in the parade and march on this important occasion, we overcame the fatigue and enthusiastically practiced," the female soldier said. Officer Vi Thi Nam (female traffic police officer) shared that, in terms of physical strength, female officers are not as fit as male officers, so they always have to strive to complete their assigned tasks well. "In drill training, uniformity is the most important thing. Therefore, when we train, maintaining a straight line and uniform movements is the most difficult thing. We always try every day to achieve uniformity and complete our assigned tasks well," Officer Vi Thi Nam said. Lieutenant Colonel Pham Dai Dong, Deputy Head of the Training and Professional Guidance Department of the Mobile Police (Mobile Police Command), said that the officers and soldiers participating in the parade and march during the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory were carefully selected by the unit. These are outstanding officers and soldiers who meet the criteria regarding height, physique, appearance, health, etc. "To achieve uniformity among officers and soldiers within each unit and between units, we had to train them meticulously, from hand and foot movements to dividing the movements into stages," Lieutenant Colonel Pham Dai Dong said. Lieutenant Colonel Pham Dai Dong believes that for the soldiers participating in this parade and march, it is an honor and a responsibility, and they are also the younger generation writing the glorious history of their ancestors.
The parade will be held on the morning of May 7th after the national commemoration ceremony at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, with preparations involving five forces: the Artillery Force; the Air Force's welcoming flight; the parade and marching forces (including the Ceremonial Guard, the parade force led by the Ministry of National Defense in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, the parade force of the Mass contingent, and the parade force of the Art contingent); the forces creating the background on the field (comprising 27 blocks, including 7 armed forces blocks and 20 mass forces); and the forces forming shapes and letters.
