According to the list of candidates proposed by the Council of Professors of the institution for consideration and recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024, this year there are a total of 673 candidates (22 less than in 2023) with 62 professor candidates and 611 associate professor candidates.

Among the 25 professorial councils of the industry and interdisciplinary sectors, the Economics Professorial Council continues to lead in the number of candidates with 108 people (6 professorial candidates and 102 associate professors).

The total number of candidates in the field of Economics increased by 6 compared to last year, but the number of professor candidates decreased by 4 people, while the number of associate professor candidates increased by 10 people.

Among these 6 candidates, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Trung, Foreign Trade University - Campus II in Ho Chi Minh City is the youngest, born in 1986.

Previously, according to information from the Office of the State Council of Professors, this year the country had a total of 110 grassroots Councils of Professors established with a total of 1,033 candidates, including 93 professor candidates and 940 associate professor candidates.

According to the plan, from August 31 to September 27, the Industry and Interdisciplinary Professor Councils will consider and recognize the qualifications for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024.

From October 21 to October 31, the State Council of Professors met to consider recognition of meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2024.
