In order to provide mental support to pediatric cancer patients being treated at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, especially those who have hair loss due to the side effects of chemotherapy, the Network for Children with Cancer has built the project “Dream Hair Station”. Through the project, the Network receives donated hair from the community and makes wigs from real hair to give to pediatric patients.
After 3 years of implementation, the Network has received hair from more than 22,000 people, from which wigs made from real hair can be given to more than 700 pediatric cancer patients and cancer patients in need at the Institute and a number of oncology hospitals across the country. This contributes to bringing joy and confidence in life to cancer patients, especially children who are unfortunate enough to suffer from this fatal disease.

Hair Donation Festival - Dream Hair Station 2025 has many diverse activities. Specifically: Donating hair to children with cancer, donating 60 wigs made from real hair to adult patients; receiving hair from hair donors; awarding 6 scholarships to new students who are cancer patients who have been and are being treated at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion with each scholarship worth 5 million VND.
The program also featured performances by pediatric cancer patients, patients from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and volunteers from the Dream Hair Station - Network for Children with Cancer.
According to the Pediatric Cancer Network, hair that qualifies for donation is natural hair that is 25cm or longer. The cut hair should be stored for no more than 6 months, secured with a rubber band, and stored in a paper bag. The hair should be washed and dried before being cut for donation.

The Children's Cancer Network is a social enterprise established with the aim of supporting children with cancer, while creating jobs for their parents and cancer patients.
The predecessor of the Network for Children with Cancer was the weekly volunteer activity at the Department of Pediatric Blood Diseases (National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion) since 2016 by Ms. Hoang Thi Dieu Thuan - co-founder and executive director of the Network.
Ms. Dieu Thuan has also been a patient treated at the Institute since 2005 and had a successful stem cell transplant at the Institute in 2012. She has also been successfully treated for breast cancer since 2023 at the Hanoi Oncology Hospital.
