To provide emotional support to child cancer patients undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, especially those experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy side effects, the Network for Children with Cancer has launched the "Dream Hair Station" project. Through this project, the Network receives donated hair from the community and makes wigs from real hair to give to child patients.
After three years of operation, the Network has received hair donations from over 22,000 people, enabling them to provide wigs made from real hair to more than 700 child cancer patients and cancer patients in need at the Institute and several oncology hospitals nationwide. This contributes to bringing joy and confidence to the lives of cancer patients, especially children who unfortunately suffer from this deadly disease.

The Hair Donation Day - Dream Hair Station 2025 features a variety of activities. Specifically, these include: donating hair to child cancer patients, donating 60 wigs made from real hair to adult patients; receiving hair donations; and awarding 6 scholarships to new university students who are cancer patients undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, each scholarship worth 5 million VND.
The program also featured musical performances by child cancer patients, patients from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and volunteers from the Dream Hair Station - Network for Children with Cancer.
According to the Children's Cancer Network, hair eligible for donation must be natural hair at least 25cm long. Cut hair should be preserved for no more than 6 months, secured with a rubber band, and stored in a paper bag. The hair should be washed and dried before donation.

The Network for Children with Cancer is a social enterprise established with the goal of supporting child cancer patients, while also creating jobs for their parents and cancer patients.
The predecessor of the Network for Children with Cancer was a weekly volunteer activity at the Pediatric Hematology Department (National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion) since 2016, led by Ms. Hoang Thi Dieu Thuan - co-founder and executive director of the Network.
Ms. Dieu Thuan has also been a patient at the Institute since 2005 and had a successful stem cell transplant at the Institute in 2012. She has also been receiving stable treatment for breast cancer since 2023 at the Hanoi Oncology Hospital.
