At the swearing-in ceremony, all members of parliament pledged to respect the Constitution, serve and protect the interests of the Cambodian nation and people, and fulfill the mission entrusted to them by the Cambodian people. In their oath, the parliamentarians committed to not using national interests for personal gain, family gain, or group interests; they expressed their determination to always protect national independence and sovereignty , as well as to maintain internal unity.

Members of the 7th National Assembly pledged to uphold Cambodia's neutral and non-aligned stance now and in the future, not allowing outside interference in Cambodia's internal affairs or in navigating the country's national and international policies; and to fight against all forms of corruption and social injustice.

Earlier that morning, following the opening session, the 7th National Assembly of Cambodia held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Samdech Heng Samrin, 89 years old, the oldest member of parliament among the 125 elected members of the new National Assembly. During this meeting, the process of declaring the parliamentary status of each member of the new legislative body was carried out, and the Rules of Procedure of the 7th National Assembly of Cambodia were adopted.

The opening session of this National Assembly meeting is considered a momentous historical event, paving the way for the establishment of a new legislative and executive apparatus in Cambodia under a generational leadership transition, a political turning point with historic changes aimed at ensuring the maintenance of long-term peace , stability, and development in the country.
