Is the rumor true that "Ngoc Trinh has been released on bail and is no longer being detained"?
Recently, a video of Ngoc Trinh happily attending a birthday party organized by her company has resurfaced on social media platforms. Many netizens commented that Ngoc Trinh has been released after more than a month of detention.
However, on December 3rd, a source from Thanh Niên newspaper confirmed that Ngọc Trinh is still being held in temporary detention by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency for investigation into the act of "disturbing public order".
Previously, on October 19th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency initiated legal proceedings and detained for three months Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh (model Ngoc Trinh, 34 years old, from Tra Vinh province) on charges of "disturbing public order"; and Tran Xuan Dong (Ngoc Trinh's motorcycle instructor) on charges of "using forged documents of an agency or organization" and "disturbing public order".
Model Ngoc Trinh was detained for three months at the police station after hearing the indictment order read out.
According to initial investigations by the Ho Chi Minh City Police, Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh (model Ngoc Trinh) did not possess an A2 driver's license but still collaborated with Tran Xuan Dong to organize and perform dangerous and offensive stunts on large-displacement motorcycles, such as lying or kneeling on the seat, letting go of the handlebars to allow the motorcycle to move on its own, etc., performing these stunts on public roads in Thu Thiem and Tang Nhon Phu B wards (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City); causing negative impacts on local security and order.
Considering that the above actions disrupted security, order, and traffic safety in the locality, the People's Committee of Thu Thiem Ward and Tang Nhon Phu B Ward have submitted a document requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency to consider handling Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh in accordance with the law. At the same time, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Police, Ngoc Trinh organized the filming, editing, and posting of the clips on social media accounts with a large number of followers, causing negative impacts and adversely affecting security and order in cyberspace.

Replace pretrial detention with other preventive measures.
According to a prosecutor, during the period of temporary detention, based on the nature and degree of danger to society of the act and the personal background of the suspect or defendant, the investigating agency and the Procuratorate may decide to replace temporary detention with one of the following measures: bail, deposit of money as security, or prohibition from leaving the place of residence.
"Within 10 days before the expiration of the preventive measure, the agency that previously proposed the preventive measure must notify the Procuratorate to decide whether to revoke or replace it with another preventive measure," the prosecutor said.
